Revolutionize pancreatic cancer care through a human-centered design sprint, creating a seamless "one narrative" network that prioritizes patient context and accelerates diagnosis and treatment.
This study utilized a human-centered design sprint to address the fragmentation in pancreatic cancer care. Experts and stakeholders collaborated to define a shared goal: delivering care in a virtual hospital where the patient's context and preferences are central, diagnosis and treatment are expedited, and data is easily accessible. The sprint produced four prototypes, including a real-time data sharing dashboard called CONNECT, which was pilot-tested with promising results. The findings highlight the potential of human-centered design to improve complex, multi-provider cancer care networks, though further development and long-term evaluation are needed.
